Auch im Kampf versuchte er, den spanischen Champion zu imitieren, und ließ mächtige Schlagkombinationen ab. Crol versuchte mehrfach Takedowns, doch ohne Erfolg. Korkmaz dominierte alle drei Runden und holte einen klaren Punktsieg. Beide gingen voll aufs Ganze. Gabal erwischte den besseren Start, bewegte sich leichtfüßig und bereitete Frimpong mit seiner Rechtsauslage Probleme. Die zweite Runde gehörte Frimpong, der mit harten Kicks die Energie seines Gegners aussaugte.
