Vznikl původně jako speciální soutěžní pyramida, která nabízela skvělou podívanou v době, kdy se svět potýkal s karanténou a omezeními. Aby ani fanoušci ani zápasníci nebyli ochuzeni o svůj milovaný sport, přišli jsme s unikátním nápadem a rozjeli hru podle našich vlastních pravidel.&nbsp;</p><p>O několik let později už tuhle napínavou soutěž sice nevyhlašujeme, s Underground pravidly se však můžete setkat i nadále. Co tedy znamená, když má zápas pravidla Undergroundu?</p><p></p><h2>PRAVIDLA OKTAGON UNDERGROUND: CO JE JINAK?&nbsp;</h2><p><strong>Jednou větou:</strong> Jde o zápas v postoji v malých MMA rukavicích a místo 5 kol se zápasí ve 3 kolech na 3 minuty.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><strong>Radši v bodech?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Zápas je kratší než klasický MMA zápas. Délka souboje je 3x3, tedy ve třech kolech po třech minutách. Nejčastěji se tak volí pro atraktivitu zápasu mezi konkrétními jmény, po náročnějším comebacku do klece či pokud na poslední chvíli odpadne soupeř a utkat by se měli zápasníci z jiné váhové kategorie (příkladem je třeba zápas Bartl vs. Magnor na OKTAGONu 42).</p><p>Pravidla Undergroundu nadále přináší napínavou podívanou v postoji, která řadě zápasníků vyloženě svědčí. O fenoménu OKTAGON Underground jste už určitě slyšeli. Jak se zápas liší od klasického MMA a proč se k těmto speciálním pravidlům vracíme?

UNDERGROUND VS. MMA. JAKÝ JE ROZDÍL?

<p>OKTAGON Underground ist ein originelles Konzept, das von unserer Organisation OKTAGON MMA entwickelt wurde. Es entstand zuerst als eine besondere Wettkampfpyramide, die eine glänzende Show lieferte in einer Zeit, als die Welt mit Quarantäne und Beschränkungen beschäftigt war. Damit die Fans und die Kämpfer nicht auf ihren geliebten Sport verzichten mussten, haben wir uns diese einzigartige Idee ausgedacht und angefangen, das Spiel nach unseren eigenen Regeln zu spielen.</p><p>Einige Jahre später geben wir zwar nicht mehr den Startschuss zu diesem spannenden Wettbewerb, die Underground-Regeln werden euch aber weiterhin begegnen. Was bedeutet es also, wenn ein Kampf nach Underground-Regeln ausgetragen wird?</p><p></p><h2>DIE OKTAGON UNDERGROUND REGELN: WAS IST ANDERS?</h2><p><strong>In einem Satz:</strong> Es handelt sich um einen Kampf im Stand mit kleinen MMA-Handschuhen und statt in 5 Runden wird in 3 Runden à 3 Minuten gekämpft.</p><p></p><p><strong>Lieber in Stichpunkten?</strong></p><p>Der Kampf ist kürzer als ein klassischer MMA-Kampf. Die Kampfdauer ist 3x3, also drei Runden zu je drei Minuten. Im Fall eines Unentschiedens gibt es noch eine Entscheidungsrunde.</p><p>Es wird mit MMA-Handschuhen gekämpft.</p><p>Erlaubt sind alle bekannten Techniken für den Standkampf und auch für den Kampf am Netz, wobei beide aktiv sein müssen.</p><p>Der Kampf kann durch Takedowns auf den Boden verlagert werden.<br>Dort gilt die aktive Kontrolle nach drei Sekunden als erfolgreich und es wird danach wieder im Stand weitergekämpft.</p><p>Submissions und Ringen im Stand sind erlaubt.</p><p>Hinsichtlich des Kampfendes und der Punktevergabe gibt es keine Unterschiede zu den klassischen MMA-Regeln.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Im Detail: </strong>Eine genauere Regelbeschreibung, nicht erlaubte Techniken und die Art der Punktevergabe findet ihr unter&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://oktagonmma.com/underground-rules/"><u>https://oktagonmma.com/underground-rules/</u></a></p><p></p><h2><strong>WARUM EIGENTLICH?</strong></h2><p>Für die Kämpfer ist die Teilnahme an einem Wettkampf nach Underground-Regeln keine Pflicht. Meistens entscheiden sie sich dazu wegen der Attraktivität eines Kampfes zwischen bestimmten Namen, nach einem anstrengenden Comeback im Käfig oder wenn ein Gegner im letzten Moment ausfällt und sich Kämpfer aus unterschiedlichen Gewichtsklassen gegenüberstehen würden (ein Beispiel dafür war Bartl vs. Magnor in OKTAGON 42).</p><p>Die Underground-Regeln sorgen weiterhin für eine spannende Show im Standkampf, wie eine ganze Reihe von Kämpfern beweist. UNDERGROUND VS. MMA: WAS IST DER UNTERSCHIED?

<p>OKTAGON Underground is an original concept created by our organization OKTAGON MMA. It originated as a special competition bracket that offered a great show at a time when the world was struggling with quarantine and restrictions. In order to ensure that neither the fans nor the fighters had their beloved sport taken from them, we came up with a unique idea and started the game according to our own rules.</p><p>A few years later, we don't organize this exciting competition anymore, but you can still encounter the Underground <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://rules.So">rules.So</a> what does it mean when a match has Underground rules?</p><p></p><h2>OKTAGON UNDERGROUND RULES: WHAT'S DIFFERENT?</h2><p><strong>In one sentence: </strong>It is a stand up fight with small MMA gloves and instead of five rounds, the fight is divided into three roundsof three minutes each.</p><p></p><p><strong>Radši v bodech?</strong></p><ul><li><p>The fight is shorter than a classic MMA fight. The length of the fight is 3x3, which means three roundsof three minutes each. Most often, it is chosen for the attractiveness of a fight between certain big names, after a challenging comeback to the cage or if an opponent cancels at the last minute and two fighters of different weight classes are supposed to face each other (for example the Bartl vs. Magnor fight at OKTAGON 42).</p><p>The Underground rules make for a thrilling show in stand up, where many fighters are right at home. The fight was filled with intense focus on both sides, but ultimately, the champion's superior quality prevailed. He knew exactly what he was doing, staying much more active throughout the fight. Engizek won all three rounds on points, but with great respect for his opponent and with the overwhelming support of the roaring Düsseldorf crowd behind him.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1086"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ESKIEV VS. WANDERLEY</h2><p>This was a tough grind for the favored Eskiev! Brazilian Wanderley certainly didn’t look like someone who had accepted the fight just two days prior. In the first round, he came within inches of finishing the hometown favorite. He forced Eskiev into a cautious and strategic mode, balancing on the fine line between victory and defeat. However, Lom-Ali managed to turn the tide in the second round—first by chopping down his opponent’s leg and then gradually dismantling him. Wanderley’s resilience was unbelievable, even Eskiev seemed surprised at how much damage the Brazilian could take. Eventually, the fight moved to the ground, where Eskiev delivered the final blows in an endless series of powerful strikes. Euphoria for Düsseldorf, but also a commendable performance from Wanderley.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1080"></oktfightcomponent><h2>PEŇÁZ VS. ZAWADA</h2><p>David Zawada wasted no time and applied pressure from the very start. He landed clean strikes and then engaged in a long clinch battle at the fence, where Peňáz, as always, refused to be taken down. Zawada certainly pushed the Czech fighter to his limits, and when their clinch battle ended, less than a minute remained in the first round. That’s when Peňáz saw his moment. He seized the momentum and unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks. The hometown fighter crumbled right before our eyes. There was no doubt about the winner when the referee stepped in. Peňáz secured his spot in the million-dollar tournament and earned his tenth OKTAGON victory without a single loss. Could this be Matěj Peňáz’s year?!</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1115"></oktfightcomponent><h2>TIPSPORT PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT: LENGÁL VS. ILBAY</h2><p>Although the previous fights had their fair share of drama and surprises, Lengál and Ilbay took things to a whole new level. Two elite strikers showcased some ground skills, but the main action took place on the feet. In the first round, Ilbay miraculously survived a clean knee strike from Vlado, which seemed to fuel him and score him some crucial points. The breathtaking exchanges continued, and in the second round, it was clear that Vlado was running out of gas. Ilbay capitalized on this and finished him with a devastating combination in under 30 seconds—one that the Czech fighter had no answer for. "El Pistolero," with a bonus for the best performance of the night in the bag, has fired another deadly bullet!</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1092"></oktfightcomponent><h2>KOHOUT VS. AKIPA</h2><p>The opening bout of the main card brought plenty of drama and kept the judges busy. Wild exchanges, heavy strikes, and intense clinch battles—it was all there. However, one fighter had the upper hand. Tonight, that was Akipa. Faster, sharper, and technically superior in all three rounds. Kohout, though, was not far behind. Entering the third round, knowing he needed a finish, he went all-in, landing several powerful shots that briefly rocked Akipa. However, he always fell just short, missing the one or two crucial strikes needed to seal the deal. In the end, Akipa won by decision, but with full respect to his opponent for a strong performance.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1096"></oktfightcomponent><h2>KHAJEVAND VS. RAYOMBA</h2><p>Hojat Khajevand wasn’t fazed by a last-minute opponent switch. The first round was evenly matched—until the second minute. Rayomba was so focused on defending against potential takedowns that he completely overlooked the possibility of being punched. Khajevand took full advantage, landing a perfectly timed, powerful right hand that sent his opponent crashing to the mat. He followed up with ground strikes to make sure the fight was over, but the referee was already stepping in. An outstanding punch—Khajevand secured his spot in the million-dollar tournament with a single strike. In this sport, anything can change in an instant!</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1129"></oktfightcomponent><h2>SOLAJA D. VS. FEDERICO</h2><p>The second Solaja brother delivered the first fight of the evening to go to the judges’ scorecards. The fight started as a striking battle, and when Federico finally got Solaja to the ground, he surprisingly showed little offense. The referee stood them back up due to inactivity. From that moment on, Solaja regained control, landing a brutal high kick to Federico’s forehead and dominating the rest of the round. As the second round began, Solaja was in complete control, showcasing his superiority. The pattern continued until the final bell. Federico had a few brief glimmers of hope, but fatigue prevented him from pulling off a miracle comeback. The judges were unanimous—another home victory for Düsseldorf!</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1097"></oktfightcomponent><h2>AL VS. KOVÁČ</h2><p>Al set a relentless pace against Kováč, who was making his professional debut—a brutal debut at that. Al opened up Kováč with a strike that drew blood, then took him to the ground. After failing to secure an armbar, he switched to a relentless ground-and-pound strategy. The Slovakian debutant initially defended well but couldn’t hold out for long. The referee stepped in, making it official—Al claimed a dominant first-round victory.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1094"></oktfightcomponent><h2>DULATOV VS. IGHZAWI</h2><p>It seemed like the prelim fighters were in a hurry tonight! Dulatov, another Düsseldorf native, received thunderous applause from the crowd. He entered the cage alongside his brother and didn’t waste any time. After just 16 seconds (and without a single strike), he locked in the fastest guillotine submission in OKTAGON history, forcing Ghith to tap out. Dulatov almost seemed disappointed that he didn’t get to fight longer, but one thing was certain—he gave the home crowd another reason to celebrate.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1079"></oktfightcomponent><h2>SOLAJA Z. VS. ELIÁŠ</h2><p>The first Solaja brother followed the evening’s fast pace. After Eliáš refused to touch gloves, Solaja wasted no time, charging in with a flurry of strikes. Eliáš had no response—not even when Solaja slipped and fell to the ground. Instead of capitalizing, Eliáš seemed to just catch his breath before being hit with another barrage of strikes. After 94 seconds, it was all over—he came, he saw, and he conquered in his own city, just as Zoran Solaja had envisioned.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1095"></oktfightcomponent><h2>SMAJIĆ VS. MISTELI</h2><p>The night began with a massive surprise. Many doubted the oldest fighter on the OKTAGON card, as reflected in the betting odds. Smajić took the first round, and the 12:1 betting odds against Misteli seemed justified. But no! At 2:30 of the second round, the Swiss fighter shocked everyone by securing a Rear Naked Choke, forcing the nearly 20-years-younger Smajić to tap. My parents are very athletic—my mother is a former ski athlete and even competed in the 1964 Winter Olympics. Sports have always been a life school for me and have helped me in every situation. I am highly competitive and love the challenge of testing myself against others. </p><p><strong>What initially drew you to MMA?</strong> </p><p>MMA fascinated me because it’s such a versatile sport that demands both physical and mental strength. Plus, it’s amusing how many people think they can defend themselves or act dangerously “when they see red,” especially when you’re practicing martial arts.</p><p><strong>How did you feel when you first stepped into the gym and began learning MMA?</strong></p><p>I enjoyed it from the very beginning. However, my inability to learn certain things still frustrates me to this day. I love pushing myself both physically and mentally.</p><p><strong>What does your life outside of MMA look like? What do you do professionally or personally beyond the sport?</strong></p><p>My first profession was as an electrician, and later I found my way to social work and recently completed a degree in that field. I work with teenagers and young adults. I’m a mother of three young adults, a single parent, and a proud homemaker. I love cooking, baking, and knitting.</p><p><strong>How did those around you react when you decided to pursue MMA? Was it easy to gain their encouragement and support?</strong></p><p>I honestly don’t know because their reactions don’t matter to me. I do what I want—that’s the benefit of being an adult. My children support me unconditionally, just as I support them. The same goes for my parents. Besides, the question of continuing doesn’t really arise—it’s a part of me, just like my job.</p><p><strong>How are you preparing for your OKTAGON debut, and what significance does this opportunity hold for you?</strong></p><p>As always, I’m training daily, navigating the ups and downs that come with it. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, a fight camp somewhere in Thailand or similar isn’t an option.</p><p><strong>What are your thoughts on your opponent? Do you see the age difference as a challenge, or does it serve as an additional source of motivation?</strong></p><p>I’ve already fought high-level opponents, so I don’t think too much about my opponent. After such a stellar start, there was only one offer he could accept…</p><p><strong>FUN FACT:</strong> Before Jotko got into combat sports, he was a successful breakdancer. That’s why he often celebrates his victories by spinning on his head. However, he hasn’t tried these moves on his opponents yet.</p><h2>THE AMERICAN DREAM</h2><p>This marked the beginning of a long chapter in the UFC. Over 11 years, Jotko participated in 17 bouts. Among those was a planned match with Makhmud Muradov, which was canceled during the pandemic. Jotko not only settled in America but also started training there, preparing to this day with the elite American Top Team. This extraordinary chapter of his life solidified his place among Poland’s prominent sports figures.</p><h2>ENDURANCE ABOVE ALL</h2><p>His career didn’t end with the UFC. Today, Jotko boasts 25 wins, 17 of which went to the judges’ decision—proving that wearing him out is no easy feat. In November, after a long break, he returned to the cage with a second-round finish, and he surely has similar plans for his next opponent.</p><h2>THAILAND AND JAPAN</h2><p>Asia is his second home. He lived in Thailand for several years, falling in love with the local food, people, and training conditions—not to mention motorcycle rides.</p><p>He also has a strong connection to Japanese culture. One of his favorite series is the legendary Dragon Ball Z, and he even has a tattoo of a character from the show.
