Je taká akú som si naplánoval, takže to ide naozaj veľmi dobre. Už pomaličky finišujem, a to sú vždy najťažšie týždne. Teraz sa sústredím iba na ladenie váhy.</p><p><strong>Čo si sa naučil v poslednom zápase, na čo si dáš pozor?</strong></p><p>Minulý zápas mi dal veľké ponaučenie. A to je také, že keď mám zápas, musím sa sústrediť čisto iba na neho. Nestačí byť pripravený len fyzicky, musím sa nastaviť aj mentálne a sústrediť sa výlučne na svoj výkon, a nie na výkon súpera alebo na to, v čom je súper silný. Musím sa sústrediť na svoje veci, na svoje silné stránky a to si presadiť v zápase.</p><p><strong>Ako vnímaš svojho súpera, čo myslíš, že na teba chystá?</strong></p><p>Svojho súpera vidím ako komplexného zápasníka. Vie sa pobiť v postoji, vie to preniesť na zem, vie dobre zápasiť. Čo si na mňa chystá, vôbec neviem. A je mi to po pravde jedno, lebo ja na neho chystám tvrdú spršku úderov. Budem sa snažiť ten zápas ukončiť čo najskôr.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1001"></oktfightcomponent><p><strong>Ako zvládaš nastupovať proti domácemu súperovi v Nemecku? Je to pre teba nevýhoda alebo dokonca výhoda?</strong></p><p>Nevnímam to ako nevýhodu. Je mi to jedno, idem si po víťazstvo, spraviť si svoju robotu. A je mi jedno, či som v Nemecku, alebo na Slovensku. To vôbec nevnímam ako výhodu, ani nevýhodu.</p><p><strong>Na ktorý zápas z karty v Oberhausene sa, okrem toho svojho, najviac tešíš? Je niečo, čo si nenecháš ujsť?</strong></p><p>Najviac sa teším na zápasy mojich chalanov. Či je to Ivan Buchinger, Danko Hromek, Marek Bartl alebo Matúš Kohout, všetci sú to známi fighteri, kamaráti, s ktorými trénujeme. Naozaj je tam veľa známych mien, takže sa teším aj na ich zápasy.</p><p><strong>Ako vlastne večer na turnaji prežívaš?</strong></p><p>Prežívam to úplne v pohode. Samozrejme, je tam nejaká trémička, tlak, ale už sme na to zvyknutí.</p><p><strong>A čo oslavné pivko, je v pláne?</strong></p><p>Oslavné pivko je samozrejme v pláne. Verím, že mi ho tam niekto podá a už sa naň neviem dočkať, keďže idem nižšiu váhu a v tejto príprave som to pivko naozaj dosť obmedzil kvôli kalóriám. Takže sa na to najviac teším, už nech je to tu!</p><p><strong>Ako sa ti darí skĺbiť dokopy rodinný a zápasnícky život?</strong></p><p>Rodinný a zápasnícky život je náročný. Dokážeme to kombinovať, samozrejme, nie som jediný, kto to tak má. Je to oveľa náročnejšie, keď sa človek chce venovať aj dieťaťu, ale aj tak si to užívam. Užívam si malého, užívam si každú chvíľu, je to zároveň moja najväčšia motivácia. Túto výhru, darujem svojmu synovi a potom si s ním oddýchnem, alebo niekam pôjdeme spolu oddychovať aj s rodinkou a najmä s partnerkou. Hlavne si tam chcem užiť trochu pokoja, lebo teraz sa všetko točí okolo mňa, okolo prípravy, a netrávime spolu toľko času, koľko by som chcel.</p><p><strong>Sprevádza ťa niekto, keď máš zápas, alebo rodinka fandí z domu?</strong></p><p>Väčšinou mi fandia z domu. Keď ideme takto do Nemecka, tak ma doprevádzajú iba tréneri. Keď sme doma, niekedy príde aj Lucka. Len to veľmi nemá rada, lebo jej to nerobí dobre – je vo veľkom strese. Skôr mi tak radšej fandia z domova.</p><p><strong>Ako si prežíval Odvetu storočia svojho veľkého kamaráta Attilu a čo hovoríš na pokračovanie?</strong></p><p>Odvetu som prežíval veľmi, veľmi ťažko. Prežívam horšie, keď pozerám zápasy svojich kamarátov, ako keď zápasím ja. Je to aj väčšia tréma z toho, že to neviem ovplyvniť, lebo som len divák. Prežíval som to potom veľmi smutno, keďže to dopadlo, ako to dopadlo, ale na druhej strane bude všetkých zaujímať trilógia. ZHUMAGULOV</h2><p>Two seasoned fighters did not disappoint. Aby sustained a cut on his head in the first round that bled heavily but didn’t slow him down. By the second round, Zhumagulov was in control, with the wound monitored by a doctor, who let the fight continue to its conclusion. In the end, Zhumagulov took the final round, mainly thanks to punches that seemed to belong in a different weight class. Aby fought valiantly, showing little fatigue, leaving fans wondering what might have happened if it went further. A high-quality match and a successful debut for OKTAGON’s new star.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1040"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ROUŠAL VS. MAGUIRE</h2><p>While Maguire entered to a song sung by his sister, Roušal chose his usual prison attire. What followed, however, was unlike anything we’d seen from Roušal before. He won the first round, although his opponent wasn’t far behind. In the second round, Roušal landed a hard punch, knocking the Irishman down. Roušal came close to ending the fight, delivering a flurry of blows until – an amateur mistake. Roušal naively fell into a choke and within seconds, Maguire celebrated a huge win via Triangle Choke. Our organization has sold over <strong>530,000</strong> tickets, so we’re on the road to a million. To put it into perspective, printing that many tickets would take about 10 days. Luckily, we’re eco-friendly! And just to be clear, following counts exclude UNDERGROUND events, otherwise, we’d probably lose track.</p><h2>OKTAGON MARATHON? PLAN YOUR VACATION</h2><p>If you’re planning to binge-watch from OKTAGON 1, we recommend informing your workplace. The total viewing time is <strong>4 days, 18 hours, 36 minutes, and 29 seconds</strong>. We hope your boss is a fan too!</p><h2>KO, SUBMISSION, OR DECISION? THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE</h2><p>Things get wild in the OKTAGON cage, and sometimes the judges might get bored! Finishes before the limit are much more common than decisions. There have been <strong>284 KOs</strong> and TKOs, and <strong>152 submissions</strong>, across <strong>16</strong> different submission techniques. In the first round, fights ended 262 times, more often by KO. A total of <strong>280</strong> fights have gone the distance and ended by decision.</p><h2>DRAWS? NOT REALLY!</h2><p>Draws are rare here – it’s usually all or nothing. Across 62 events, there have only been <strong>7</strong> draws, with two "no contests" (can you remember who caused them?). And only <strong>1</strong> disqualification, so thank you to the fighters for behaving honorably in the cage!</p><h2>A FULL PLANE OF FIGHTERS</h2><p>A total of <strong>540</strong> fighters have competed in the yellow-and-black cage. That’s about the same capacity as a full Boeing 747, 10 buses, or one large school! We’re considering whether to send them all on vacation or start the OKTAGON University.</p><p>Needless to say, we offer you the best. Currently, OKTAGON boasts <strong>26 fighters</strong> in the world’s top 100, and <strong>40</strong> in the top 150. We’ve visited <strong>4 countries, 17 cities, and 30 arenas</strong> and stadiums! Our most frequent stop is Prague, where we’ve hosted <strong>20 events</strong>. And we’ll be back in December at the O2 Arena, where tickets are selling out fast, so don’t miss out!</p><h2>NOT ALL EVENTS ARE THE SAME!</h2><p>And what about the events themselves? You probably already know a lot about the latest OKTAGON 62, so let’s look back at history.</p><p>For example, the event with the most fights on the card was a record <strong>13</strong>, which happened at OKTAGON 3, 30, and 33. Just to clarify, our matchmakers are not into numerology or the number 3...</p><h2>WHERE DID THE FIGHTS END QUICKLY, AND WHERE DID THE JUDGES SWEAT?</h2><p><strong>OKTAGON 18</strong> passed like a tornado, with its fights lasting just a clean <strong>46 minutes</strong> – none of the 10 bouts went to the judges, and most ended in the first round. To those who arrived later that evening, we sincerely apologize...</p><p>On the other hand, <strong>OKTAGON 61</strong> in September in Brno was a true marathon – if you thought it was the longest event ever, you guessed right. It broke the record not only in length but also in the number of fights that had to go to the judges. Fighters took their time, battling it out for <strong>2 hours and 26 minutes</strong> in the cage. Not to mention the battle with sleepiness at 1 AM during the press conference!</p><h2>FINISHES GALORE</h2><p>Blink, and you would’ve missed <strong>OKTAGON 12</strong> – where a record number of KOs and TKOs were set in one night, totaling <strong>9</strong>. At <strong>OKTAGON Prime 3</strong>, submissions were in the spotlight, with fighters delivering <strong>6</strong> submissions that evening.</p><h2>WITHOUT YOU, IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN</h2><p>What a ride, right?
