Dominik saved up more energy and started breaking down his opponent, who had no answer. Even though the Slovak favorite took an unbelievable amount of hard hits, he eventually went down. Dominik won this battle via TKO and deservedly celebrated not only his successful debut in the main event of a home event but also the Tipsport Performance of the Night bonus.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1108"></oktfightcomponent><h2>VLASTO ČEPO vs ERHAN KARTAL</h2><p>The start was exactly as we all expected. Motivated Vlasto Čepo, rushing forward and throwing punches with one goal in mind – to finish his opponent immediately. Kartal, however, was cut from the same cloth and showed that both could play this game. Eventually, the Slovak fighter backed off and started tying Čepo against the cage to defend himself from his relentless pressure. But Čepo wouldn’t be slowed down, and when the opportunity came, he threw himself into an insane exchange and was successful. He landed several well-placed punches that shook Kartal, and eventually, he scored a textbook KO. A great victory and huge joy for the fans.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1117"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ION SURDU vs KRZYSZTOF JOTKO</h2><p>Jotko took this fight very personally – first, he showed up to weigh-ins with garlic around his neck, and then entered the cage dressed as Blade, the famous movie character who hunts vampires. While Surdu had the crowd on his side, his vampire-like determination and thirst for blood weren’t enough to overcome Jotko. The Polish fighter excelled in striking, but especially on the cage and the ground, where he literally dominated. The first round was even, with both fighters exchanging good strikes in the stand-up and on the cage. Kutyla even tried to bring the fight to the ground but was unsuccessful. In the second round, Roušal found his distance and started landing brutal body shots. After a few of them, it was clear that a finish was in the air. A hard uppercut, followed by a rear hook, and then a quick finish with several ground punches. A simple and precisely executed strategy. Strzelczyk initially seemed disoriented but quickly recovered. OKTAGON 70: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

<p>Robo Pukač has experienced a career reboot in the last year like something out of a Hollywood movie. His first fight with Christian Jungwirth was a low point, where he decided to voluntarily forfeit the match after the second round, without major health issues. He grew up in a housing estate in <strong>Petržalka</strong>, raised only by his mother. He didn’t get to know his father for a long time, and throughout his childhood, his father wasn’t really a part of his life, so Robo lacked a male role model, which he had to seek elsewhere. Like many teenagers, he got into trouble during this time, but he was never the type to love conflict. He <strong>played football</strong> and made it to the "B" team of FC Artmedia Petržalka, whose "A" team played in the Champions League at the time. A serious knee injury ended his football career, and it was time to redirect his energy elsewhere. When he first came to the <strong>OFA gym</strong>, he struggled with being overweight, but under the guidance of legendary <strong>Ilja Škondrič</strong>, he quickly got in shape and started fighting.</p><h2>BEGINNING OF THE CAREER AND A THREE-YEAR PAUSE</h2><p>Robo started his professional career a month before his 18th birthday, <strong>in April 2010.</strong> His debut was successful, and after 17 fights, he had a promising record of 12-4-1. But then came the turning point. In 2015, he accepted a fight against the more experienced <strong>Patrik Kincl</strong>. The fight ended after three rounds with a close decision in favor of the Czech fighter. But besides the unpleasant loss, Robo also <strong>suffered injuries</strong> – a fractured cheekbone and a complicated collarbone fracture <strong>sidelined the young Slovak for three years</strong>, and it was unclear whether he would even return.</p><h2>BACK TO THE CAGE: DEBUT IN OKTAGON</h2><p>Before returning to the cage as a fighter, Pukač was invited to the first <strong>OKTAGON Challenge</strong>, where he took on the role of coach for the Slovak team alongside his coach Ilja Škondrič. That was in 2016, and MMA was slowly becoming more recognized. Few knew, however, how much the sport would grow in the following years. The coaching stint was successful for Robo, with their protege, Gábor Boráros, winning the very first OKTAGON Challenge. The first tournaments followed, growing in size and popularity. Just outside the top 50 in the world is Danish <strong>"Shark" Jonas Magard</strong>, who now holds the #53 spot in the bantamweight rankings. <strong>Richie Smullen</strong> (#69 in featherweight) and <strong>Kaik Brito</strong> (#93 in welterweight) are also in the world top 100.</p><p>An incredible progression has been made recently by <strong>Robo Pukač</strong> – his victory over David Kozma moved him up an incredible 250 spots to #158 in the rankings. Végh showed significant improvement in defending against Karlos’s attacks. This epic final led to several nail-biting moments for fans of both camps. In the end, it was Karlos Vémola's hunger and desire for victory that proved to be greater. Rony’s important victory shot him to the top of the welterweight rankings, where a host of hungry challengers await.
