His career, however, is above all a story of comebacks and overcoming severe trials.</p><p>In 2021, Samsonidse suffered a complicated tibia fracture in a bout with <strong>Yassine Trabelsi</strong>, requiring surgery and resulting in a two-year layoff. Upon his return, he entered OKTAGON in convincing fashion, securing wins over <strong>Roman Paulus</strong> and Romanian fighter <strong>Nicolae Hantea</strong>. Another pivotal moment came in the title fight with Keita, who stopped Samsonidse hard in the second round and caused a fractured jaw.
