Nedlouho poté, co se jeho účast potvrdila, však přišlo zranění, kvůli kterému nemohl nastoupit v Ostravě. Vy fanoušci jste ale rozhodli o tom, že si zaslouží druhou šanci. Tu dostal v květnu ve Frankfurtu, kde na body porazil Sardariho. Pánové dostali druhou šanci v Birminghamu, bez neustálých šarvátek se to ale neobešlo. Jako vítěz nakonec odešel Wanliss, nutno ale vzpomenout, že přízeň fanoušků si tedy zrovna nezískal.<h2>ČTVRTFINÁLE V HORKÝCH LETNÍCH DNECH</h2>Úvod do celé pyramidy přinesl více příběhů, než jsme si uměli představit. Další kolo přinášející 4 zápasy bylo rozděleno mezi Prahu a Bratislavu.Před zraky bezmála 30 000 fanoušků v pražském Edenu dostal Wanliss pořádný výprask od Legierskiho, k neskrývané spokojenosti fanoušků.
