Ich gehe das Ganze verantwortungsvoll an und unterschätze ihn definitiv nicht. Dieser Walkout-Moment. Die Fans sind dort so nah dran, dass es dich komplett aufsaugt. Wenn ich eines Tages auf meinem „Sterbebett“ liege, wird das definitiv eine der Erinnerungen sein, die mir durch den Kopf gehen. Absoluter Wahnsinn.Štvanice gilt als eines der ikonischsten OKTAGON-Events. Wie war es, in diesem besonderen Setting zu kämpfen?Das war eine unbezahlbare Erfahrung. Ein wunderschönes Sommer-Event unter freiem Himmel. Das Stadion ist so gebaut, dass selbst die letzte Reihe wirkt, als stünde sie direkt neben dem Käfig. Es war sowohl persönlich als auch sportlich extrem wertvoll. Ich habe den Kampf kurzfristig gegen einen sehr starken Gegner angenommen und dabei als Underdog galt.Der Fight gegen Federico war extrem eng und wurde in Runde drei durch eine Guillotine entschieden. Wie bewertest Du Deine Leistung rückblickend?Der Kampf war wirklich ausgeglichen. Federico gewann die erste Runde, ich die zweite, und die Guillotine entschied die dritte. Rückblickend gab es natürlich Fehler, aber man muss den Kontext sehen: Ich habe den Kampf sehr kurzfristig angenommen. In sechs Tagen kann man nichts Spezifisches mehr aufbauen. Wir haben uns auf einen Gameplan konzentriert, aber Wunder sind in dieser Zeit nicht möglich.Unter dem Strich bin ich zufrieden. Der Kampf hat mir Selbstvertrauen gegeben und bestätigt: Wenn das Mindset stimmt, ist alles möglich. Es war mir eine Ehre, gegen Federico zu kämpfen. Einen Kämpfer dieses Niveaus bei einem ikonischen Event zu besiegen und einen Black Belt zu submitten – das ist ein Traum.Jetzt kämpfst Du erstmals in der O₂ Arena. Ein Traum oder versuchst Du, es wie jeden anderen Fight zu behandeln?Ich versuche, es wie jeden anderen Kampf zu sehen. Natürlich weiß ich, dass Štvanice und die O₂ Arena ikonische OKTAGON-Locations sind und dass jeder Fighter davon träumt, dort zu kämpfen. Dass mir das innerhalb eines Jahres ermöglicht wurde, weiß ich sehr zu schätzen.Deshalb konzentriere ich mich jetzt darauf, bestmöglich vorbereitet zu sein und meine beste Leistung zu zeigen. Genießen werde ich die O₂ Arena nach dem Kampf – zu Hause mit Kartoffelsalat. Jetzt ist es einfach der nächste Schritt auf meinem Weg.Es werden etwa doppelt so viele Zuschauer da sein wie auf Štvanice. Nimmst Du die Crowd im Kampf wahr oder hast Du Tunnelblick?Es mögen doppelt so viele Menschen sein, aber es ist dunkel, gedimmt, und der Käfig ist stark beleuchtet – man nimmt die Zuschauer kaum wahr. Auf Štvanice war Tageslicht, da hatte man das Gefühl, die Fans drücken direkt gegen den Käfig. Den Walkout genieße ich immer bewusst. Sobald sich die Käfigtür schließt, habe ich Tunnelblick: Fokus auf meine Leistung, meinen Gegner und meine Coaches.Du trainierst unter Patrik Kincl und David Dvořák, die ebenfalls auf der Card kämpfen. Werden sie in Deiner Ecke sein?Das haben wir noch nicht endgültig besprochen. Wahrscheinlich werden wir die Rollen aufteilen. In der All Sport Academy haben wir ein extrem starkes Team – Václav Štěpán, Lukáš Chotěnovský, mein Bruder und weitere Jungs, die bei jeder Einheit dabei sind. Mir ist wichtig, dass Patrik und David sich voll auf ihre eigenen Kämpfe konzentrieren können. Ratschläge bekomme ich von ihnen im Hotel und in der Kabine, aber im Käfig werden mich die Teamkollegen cornern.Wie ist es, wenn ihr alle gleichzeitig im Peak eines Fight Camps seid?Großartig. Wir pushen und motivieren uns gegenseitig. Man spürt es im Training – die Atmosphäre ist exzellent, alle sind voll fokussiert. Für mich ist es eine Ehre, auf einer so starken Card gemeinsam mit meinen Coaches zu stehen. Ich genieße jeden einzelnen Moment dieser Vorbereitung.Wie sieht Dein idealer Trainingstag aus? Was ist aus Deiner Sicht entscheidend, um heute im MMA erfolgreich zu sein?Mag sein, dass andere mich als Talent sehen, aber damit beschäftige ich mich nicht. Für mich geht es vor allem um Einstellung und Mindset.Ich will eher als jemand wahrgenommen werden, der sich alles hart erarbeitet hat. Wenn du weißt, was du willst, wofür du es willst und mental klar bist, dann bist du kaum aufzuhalten. Disziplin und mentale Arbeit sind entscheidend.Wie unterscheidet sich modernes MMA von dem vor 10–15 Jahren?In allem. Leistungsniveau, Qualität der Kämpfer, der Gyms und der Coaches. Früher war es etwas Besonderes, wenn 500 oder 1.000 Zuschauer da waren. Heute sind Europas größte Arenen ausverkauft. MMA hat sich extrem weiterentwickelt. Für mich sind MMA heute und MMA vor 10–15 Jahren fast zwei verschiedene Sportarten.Ein Kampf Ende Dezember bedeutet Diät über Weihnachten. Wie hart ist das – und was gibt es danach?Stört mich überhaupt nicht. Ich bin froh, dass ich kämpfen darf. Dass es auf die Feiertage fällt – egal. Irgendwas ist immer: Weihnachten, Ostern, der Sommerurlaub. Mein Fokus liegt auf dem Fight und diesem großartigen Event. Dass ich ein paar Tage nach Weihnachten gut esse, ist mir egal. Als erstes gibt es definitiv Kartoffelsalat mit Schnitzel. Und vielleicht ein paar Plätzchen, wenn meine Mutter welche schickt.Wie schaltest Du ab, wenn Du kurz Abstand vom MMA brauchst?Zeit mit Familie und engen Freunden. Ich bin gern aktiv: spazieren gehen, skaten, wandern, Sauna. Zeit für mich – am liebsten in der Natur – und Zeit für die Menschen, die mir nahestehen.
