Karlos Vémola se po přestupu do OKTAGONU dostal na výsluní a jasně ukázal, že v organizaci aspiruje na místo šampiona. „V OKTAGONU je jen jeden král. It’s my home,“ řekl po vítězství v Ostravě, a tím dal všem jasně najevo, na co myslí. Jeho cíl? Zápas s Véghem, který byl na vrcholu už nějakou dobu.</p><p>V dubnu 2019 bylo oznámeno, že se chystá Zápas století. Karlos a Attila se měli utkat v pražské O2 areně. Karlos, ač se mu to nelíbilo, musel nastoupit v modrém rohu, protože Attila byl v OKTAGONU déle. Očekávání rostla, ale nic nemohlo připravit Karlose na to, co přišlo.</p><p>V červnu 2019 Attila přišel o titul v Bratislavě, když dostal tvrdé KO. Tohle vše jen podpořilo motivaci Karlose, který se na zápas ještě víc soustředil a přicházel v roli favorita. Ale to, co se stalo v listopadu, šokovalo všechny – Attila Végh poslal Karlose Vémolu k zemi už v prvním kole. Fanoušci byli v šoku, a Karlos musel sklonit hlavu před slovenským králem.</p><h2>ČEKÁNÍ NA ODVETU</h2><p>Po téhle prohře Karlos rozhodně neusnul na vavřínech. Věděl, že ještě neřekl poslední slovo, a tak se pustil do tvrdé přípravy. Dřel ještě více než dřív, střídal jednoho soupeře za druhým a nenechal se odradit. Naopak. What makes him such a dangerous opponent?</strong></p><p> He’s very heavy – for me, almost like a welterweight. That can be an advantage, but also a disadvantage, because a big weight cut costs strength. In the first round, he comes forward very aggressively and wants to finish quickly. That’s exactly what we prepared for. I expect we’ll meet in the middle of the cage.</p><p><strong>Does that change your game plan at all?</strong></p><p> No, it doesn’t. You have to stay focused against any opponent. I don’t see him as just a striker. I’m prepared for everything, and whatever comes, I’ll use it against him.</p><p><strong>So how are you preparing for his strengths?</strong></p><p> I focus on what he does best. My job is to turn his weapons against him and run him over.
