He is a former <strong>M-1 champion</strong> and also <strong>the winner of the Bellator featherweight tournament</strong>. Many German stars consider him their role model and inspiration – including names like Stephan Pütz, Max Coga, and Christian Eckerlin. Yet many fans still didn’t know about him until now. During the peak of his success, MMA was still in its infancy and nowhere near as popular as it is today. Weichel began his professional career in 2002 and ended it two years ago in 2023. During that time, <strong>he collected 42 victories, 28 of them finishes, with 22 by submission</strong>!
