Od prvého zápasu v Bratislave uplynul takmer rok a ja cítim, že už nerobím také chyby ako vtedy. Ale to všetko priniesol čas. Verím, že jedného dňa budem patriť medzi tie najlepšie, ale všetko, čo potrebujem, je čas, trpezlivosť a tvrdá disciplína.</p><p><strong>Hrala teda rolu hlava a mentálna príprava?</strong></p><p>Práve po mentálnej stránke som urobila veľký pokrok a verím, že sa ešte posuniem. Už teraz vidím, že som opatrnejšia, viem, kedy poľaviť, čakať, kedy ísť opäť tvrdo do akcie. Prvá prehra bola veľmi náročná psychicky, ale teraz už sa na seba nehnevám. V tej dobe som bola nezrelá.</p><p><strong>Ako si toto dokázala vo svojej hlave zmeniť?</strong></p><p>Musela som sa s tým zmieriť a povedať si, že kvôli jednému prehratému zápasu sa nebudem trápiť, naopak budem pracovať na svojich slabinách, aby som z nich urobila svoje silné stránky. Myslela som na to, že mám skvelý život a musím na sebe pracovať, pretože prekážky k tomu jednoducho patria.</p><p><strong>Ako sa pozeráš na postavenie žien v MMA?</strong></p><p>Ženské zápasy milujem, sú pre mňa oveľa emotívnejšie, rada sa na ne pozerám. Cestu žien v MMA aj v iných športoch obdivujem, pretože sama viem, aké to je náročné. Obdivujem ženy za to, ako to všetko zvládajú a aké sú silné.</p><p><strong>Aké sú tie hlavné prekážky, ktoré ako ženy máte?</strong></p><p>Myslím, že naše výhry, prehry a emócie po zápase sú úplne iné než u mužov, a to sa mi páči, ženské MMA to celé robí krajším. Čo ma trápi, je to veľké chudnutie, čo ale nie je problém len u žien. </p><p><strong>Trénuješ aj s Luckou Szabovou, aké to je?</strong></p><p>Lucka je mi blízka ako človek a rozumiem si s ňou. Občas príde ona ku mne na týždeň, potom idem ja k nej, alebo ideme spolu na kemp. Tréning s ňou mi veľmi pomáha, nielen v tom, že cítim, že sa zlepšujem oveľa rýchlejšie, keď mám vedľa seba profesionálnu športovkyňu, ale hlavne po mentálnej stránke. Vidím, že zažíva rovnaké emócie ako ja. Za to som nesmierne vďačná.</p><p><strong>Môžeš to upresniť?</strong></p><p>Skôr som vôbec nevidela ženy, ktoré by trénovali napríklad s menštruáciou, a myslela som si, že som len ja tak citlivá, a že len pre mňa je tak náročné trénovať s mužmi. Ale keď trénujem s Luckou a vidím, že to prežíva rovnako, a veľa o tom spolu hovoríme, tak mi to nesmierne pomáha.</p><p><strong>Čo je pre teba na MMA najťažšie?</strong></p><p>Celkovo vnímam MMA ako jeden veľký diskomfort, veľmi to milujem, ale úprimne, nie vždy mám náladu na to, aby sa po mne váľali spotení chlapi. Niekedy absolútne nemám chuť na žiadny dotyk a musím sa premáhať. To je pre mňa jedna nepríjemná vec, a potom určite to chudnutie, je to pre mňa extrémny nekomfort, prijímať málo kalórií a vynakladať veľa energie. Ale aj keď sú tieto veci nepríjemné, po tréningu mám stále pocit šťastia a naplnenia.</p><p><strong>Ako vidíš svoju ďalšiu kariéru? Je nejaká súperka, o ktorú máš záujem?</strong></p><p>Najprv chcem samozrejme vyhrať tento zápas a potom bojovať s kýmkoľvek, koho mi tréneri schvália. Dlhodobým cieľom je získať titul v OKTAGONE a bojovať s tými najlepšími, chcem ísť čo najvyššie a zistiť, čo dokáže moje telo a čo dokážem ja, kam až som schopná to dotiahnuť.</p><p><strong>Budeš bojovať opäť na domácej pôde. Je to pre teba veľká motivácia, nastúpiť pred domácim publikom, alebo skôr tlak?</strong></p><p>Veľmi sa teším, tlak necítim. V prvom zápase som to ako tlak brala a odvtedy som veľa pracovala na svojej hlave – pomohla meditácia, motivačné filmy, rozhovory s trénermi. Zistila som, že čím väčší tlak na seba budem vyvíjať, tým horšie to bude. Teraz sa na ľudí veľmi teším – na každého, kto ma bude podporovať, ale aj na tých, ktorí mi neveria, to je mi jedno. Ja idem robiť to, čo milujem.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1038"></oktfightcomponent><p><strong>Ako ide súčasná príprava?</strong></p><p>Som veľmi spokojná a často sa uisťujem aj u trénerov, ktorí mi to potvrdzujú. Cítim sa dobre, teraz už musím len prežiť tento týždeň, doladiť váhu a vydržať, kým navážim. Hlavne aby to bolo bez zranenia – inak sa totiž cítim perfektne.</p><p><strong>Ako vidíš svoju súperku, čo od nej očakávaš? Je niečo, čo by si jej odkázala?</strong></p><p>Čakám, že ma bude chcieť dostať na zem, možno na pletivo, ale vlastne sa na to veľmi nechcem zameriavať. The second round was more balanced, both in terms of action and scoring. But the final round erased all doubts. Apollo turned the match entirely in his favor, delivering powerful strikes right until the last seconds to make a statement. No one has managed to end Apollo’s reign even in his 42nd career fight.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1067"></oktfightcomponent><h2>PUKAČ VS. DIEDRICK</h2><p>Robo Pukač came out swinging from the first round like a beast. He delivered powerful strikes to Diedrick and gradually won over not only the crowd but also the judges. With superb form and confidence, he slowly dismantled the renowned striker from England. The third round was all or nothing, and Pukač succeeded, outboxing Diedrick and claiming a major home victory.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1034"></oktfightcomponent><h2>RYŠAVÝ VS. PALOKAJ</h2><p>The first round showcased Ryšavý at his best, as fans love to see him – sharp and on top form. Judges saw it similarly, with two out of three favoring him. But then Palokaj took control, dictating the pace both standing and on the ground. By the third round, Palokaj’s superiority was clear – his takedowns proved decisive for Ryšavý. Nevertheless, Slovakia had nothing to be ashamed of.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1045"></oktfightcomponent><h2>FODOR VS. LAPILUS</h2><p>Wow! Before anyone could catch their breath, Lapilus unleashed pure chaos in the cage. He slammed Fodor into the fence and unleashed a barrage of brutal strikes that had even TV viewers shaken. Referee Touš had to stop the fight, taking a bruised hand with him yet again.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1036"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ABY VS. ZHUMAGULOV</h2><p>Two seasoned fighters did not disappoint. Aby sustained a cut on his head in the first round that bled heavily but didn’t slow him down. By the second round, Zhumagulov was in control, with the wound monitored by a doctor, who let the fight continue to its conclusion. In the end, Zhumagulov took the final round, mainly thanks to punches that seemed to belong in a different weight class. Aby fought valiantly, showing little fatigue, leaving fans wondering what might have happened if it went further. A high-quality match and a successful debut for OKTAGON’s new star.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1040"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ROUŠAL VS. MAGUIRE</h2><p>While Maguire entered to a song sung by his sister, Roušal chose his usual prison attire. What followed, however, was unlike anything we’d seen from Roušal before. He won the first round, although his opponent wasn’t far behind. In the second round, Roušal landed a hard punch, knocking the Irishman down. Roušal came close to ending the fight, delivering a flurry of blows until – an amateur mistake. Roušal naively fell into a choke and within seconds, Maguire celebrated a huge win via Triangle Choke. The judges favored Finland in the first round, while the second was closer, with two out of three judges scoring it as a draw. Roman Paulus knew he had to go all out – expertly capturing his opponent and securing an impressive Rear Naked Choke in the final round, his third this year in a tremendously successful season. Smolková erased memories of last year’s Tipos Arena fight, charging at her opponent with relentless strikes. Within a minute, she had Simplicio on the ground, unresponsive to the final barrage of blows, with the fight stopped at 1:06 by TKO. Our organization has sold over <strong>530,000</strong> tickets, so we’re on the road to a million. To put it into perspective, printing that many tickets would take about 10 days. Luckily, we’re eco-friendly! And just to be clear, following counts exclude UNDERGROUND events, otherwise, we’d probably lose track.</p><h2>OKTAGON MARATHON? PLAN YOUR VACATION</h2><p>If you’re planning to binge-watch from OKTAGON 1, we recommend informing your workplace. The total viewing time is <strong>4 days, 18 hours, 36 minutes, and 29 seconds</strong>. We hope your boss is a fan too!</p><h2>KO, SUBMISSION, OR DECISION? THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE</h2><p>Things get wild in the OKTAGON cage, and sometimes the judges might get bored! Finishes before the limit are much more common than decisions. There have been <strong>284 KOs</strong> and TKOs, and <strong>152 submissions</strong>, across <strong>16</strong> different submission techniques. In the first round, fights ended 262 times, more often by KO. A total of <strong>280</strong> fights have gone the distance and ended by decision.</p><h2>DRAWS? NOT REALLY!</h2><p>Draws are rare here – it’s usually all or nothing. Across 62 events, there have only been <strong>7</strong> draws, with two "no contests" (can you remember who caused them?). And only <strong>1</strong> disqualification, so thank you to the fighters for behaving honorably in the cage!</p><h2>A FULL PLANE OF FIGHTERS</h2><p>A total of <strong>540</strong> fighters have competed in the yellow-and-black cage. That’s about the same capacity as a full Boeing 747, 10 buses, or one large school! We’re considering whether to send them all on vacation or start the OKTAGON University.</p><p>Needless to say, we offer you the best. Currently, OKTAGON boasts <strong>26 fighters</strong> in the world’s top 100, and <strong>40</strong> in the top 150. We’ve visited <strong>4 countries, 17 cities, and 30 arenas</strong> and stadiums! Our most frequent stop is Prague, where we’ve hosted <strong>20 events</strong>. And we’ll be back in December at the O2 Arena, where tickets are selling out fast, so don’t miss out!</p><h2>NOT ALL EVENTS ARE THE SAME!</h2><p>And what about the events themselves? You probably already know a lot about the latest OKTAGON 62, so let’s look back at history.</p><p>For example, the event with the most fights on the card was a record <strong>13</strong>, which happened at OKTAGON 3, 30, and 33. Just to clarify, our matchmakers are not into numerology or the number 3...</p><h2>WHERE DID THE FIGHTS END QUICKLY, AND WHERE DID THE JUDGES SWEAT?</h2><p><strong>OKTAGON 18</strong> passed like a tornado, with its fights lasting just a clean <strong>46 minutes</strong> – none of the 10 bouts went to the judges, and most ended in the first round. To those who arrived later that evening, we sincerely apologize...</p><p>On the other hand, <strong>OKTAGON 61</strong> in September in Brno was a true marathon – if you thought it was the longest event ever, you guessed right. It broke the record not only in length but also in the number of fights that had to go to the judges. Fighters took their time, battling it out for <strong>2 hours and 26 minutes</strong> in the cage. Not to mention the battle with sleepiness at 1 AM during the press conference!</p><h2>FINISHES GALORE</h2><p>Blink, and you would’ve missed <strong>OKTAGON 12</strong> – where a record number of KOs and TKOs were set in one night, totaling <strong>9</strong>. At <strong>OKTAGON Prime 3</strong>, submissions were in the spotlight, with fighters delivering <strong>6</strong> submissions that evening.</p><h2>WITHOUT YOU, IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN</h2><p>What a ride, right?
