Event Production Coordinator (German Required)
Thousands of fans. Sold-out arenas. Lights, cameras, adrenaline. And a whole lot of work behind the scenes.
When the lights go on and the first fighter walks into the arena, everything needs to be ready. Every detail. Every supplier. Every deadline. Every single piece of the puzzle.
Because while the fans see the show, we see everything it takes to make it happen.
And that's where you come in.
OKTAGON is one of Europe's leading MMA organisations, and Germany is a huge part of our story. We're growing, pushing boundaries and bringing unforgettable live experiences to thousands of fans.
But great events don't just happen.
They take people who know how to organise chaos, keep things moving and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
That's why we're looking for an Event Production Coordinator for Germany to join our production team in PRAGUE.
Someone who loves events, has a sharp eye for detail and doesn't panic when five things need to happen at once.
Sound familiar? Keep reading.
WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY DO?
You won't be sitting on the sidelines. You'll be right in the middle of the action, working closely with our Event Managers and helping turn months of preparation into unforgettable nights.
Your mission? Make sure everything runs the way it should.
- Keep our German events moving. Support Event Managers throughout the entire production process, from the first preparations to the final wrap-up.
- Be the person who knows what's happening. Keep tasks, deadlines and project updates organised in Asana. No forgotten follow-ups, no missing information.
- Connect the dots. Communicate with German suppliers, venues and partners, coordinate orders and make sure everyone delivers what they promised.
- Bring structure to the chaos. Help prepare production schedules, coordinate logistics and make sure the right people have the right information at the right time.
- Own your part of the show. Take responsibility for assigned production tasks around weigh-ins, press conferences and other events happening outside the main tournament.
- Be there when it matters. Join us on-site at tournaments in Germany, support the production team and help solve whatever comes up.
- Finish what we start. Take care of post-event administration, expense documentation, feedback and all those details that matter even after the arena goes quiet.
And yes, sometimes things will change at the last minute.
That's event production. We don't expect you to predict every problem. We expect you to notice it, communicate it and help find a solution.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're not searching for someone who simply likes attending events.
We're looking for someone who understands what it takes to make them happen.
You'll probably feel at home with us if:
- You have at least 2 years of experience in event production, logistics or a similar coordination role. You know that the real work happens long before the doors open.
- You don't need to speak Czech, but we do need you to be based in Prague and work alongside our team in our Prague office.
- Your German is at C1 level or higher. You'll communicate with German suppliers and partners regularly, so confidence in the language is essential.
- Your English is at least B2. We're an international team, and English is part of our everyday communication. Czech is a nice bonus.
- You're naturally organised. Deadlines, schedules, spreadsheets, follow-ups? That's your world.
- You can manage multiple priorities without needing someone to remind you of every next step.
- You're comfortable taking ownership of your tasks and following them through to the end.
- You communicate clearly, ask questions when something isn't clear and speak up before a small issue becomes a big problem.
- You know your way around project management tools. If you've worked with Asana, even better.
- You're ready to travel to tournaments in Germany and understand that live events don't always happen Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
First of all, this isn't just another coordination job.
You'll be part of the team bringing one of Europe's most exciting MMA brands to life.
You'll get to:
- Experience major live sporting events from the inside. Not from the stands, but from the production side, where everything comes together.
- Work in an international environment. Our events, colleagues and partners cross borders, and so will your work.
- See the direct impact of what you do. The result of your preparation won't be another PowerPoint presentation. It'll be thousands of fans experiencing something unforgettable.
- Learn from experienced Event Managers and grow your skills in the fast-paced world of international event production.
- Take real responsibility. We believe in ownership, trust and giving people space to do their jobs.
And you'll become part of a team that knows how much work goes into every tournament, but also how incredible it feels when everything comes together.
Is it always easy? No.
There will be tight deadlines, changing plans and intense tournament weeks.
But there will also be moments when you stand in a packed arena, look around and know:
I helped make this happen.
And that's a pretty great feeling.
