Ve druhém kole ukázal Todevovi vůbec poprvé v OKTAGONu, co to znamená takedown. Druhé kolo už se neslo v duchu remízy, třetí naopak Fleury obrátil znovu na svou stranu při demolici bulharského obra, stejně jako v předposlední pětiminutovce. Páté kolo rozjelo tempo na naprosté maximum – Todev sázel údery, které by mnozí už dávno nepřežili, Fleury ale bojoval a vydržel absolutní nesmysl. Ukončit se nenechal. A vyplatilo se: nový a navíc dvojnásobný šampion je tady, nad hlavou drží pás o tři měsíce později znovu Will „F*cking” Fleury!<oktfightcomponent fightid="1123"></oktfightcomponent><h2>OMER VS. KOPERA</h2>Úžasný comeback v podání Alana Omera. Po boji s těžkou nemocí se vrátil po pěti letech jako vítěz! I přesto nutno zmínit, že Kopera nebyl snadným soustem. První dvě kola šla jasně na stranu Alana, který dominoval v postoji i na zemi. V prvním kole dokonce došlo k historickému okamžiku – vůbec poprvé se v OKTAGONu musel měnit prasklý chránič v přímém přenosu. I s tím si Omer poradil a jel dál. V posledním kole Kopera zabral a na pět minul se stal králem klece, to ale nestačilo. Výhru na body jasně vybojoval Alan Omer!<oktfightcomponent fightid="1101"></oktfightcomponent><h2>MURADOV VS. ENOMOTO</h2>První kolo šlo jasně na stranu Muradova, který Enomota nešetřil – nutno ale uznat, že švýcarský samuraj vydržel tvrdou palbu obstojně. Diváci možná čekali, že si Muradov ohlídá přesilu na body, ale hned zkraje druhého kola nás rázně vyvedl z omylu! Na Enomota seslal tvrdou zadní, naskočené koleno a na závěr spršku ran na zemi, která protivníka poslala do tmy. Fantastický finiš a k tomu i další splněná přání – nezranit se a dostat obrovskou bitvu s Patrikem Kinclem v Edenu! Máme se na co těšit.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1124"></oktfightcomponent><h2>TIPSPORT VÝKON VEČERA: BARTL VS. SCHWINDT</h2>Tak tohle bylo o infarkt! První kolo jasně dominoval Schwindt, na čemž se shodli i rozhodčí. Ale to, co nastalo ve druhém, byla naprostá válka. Schwindt na nic nečekal a naběhl na Bartla nesmírně tvrdými údery, ale ani se nenadál a Bartl mu to oplatil, čímž dostal favorita na zem. Oba borci schytali pořádnou dávku ran a na zemi to byla hektická bitva o přežití. Bartl chvíli dominoval, pak se dominance přesouvala z jedné strany na druhou, až žezlo převzal opět Schwindt. Ten Bartla mučil na zemi a když už chtěl rozhodčí rozhodnout, Bartl dokázal vždy ještě něco dodat. Hrdinský výkon Bartla neustával, ale nakonec došlo k rozhodnutí – v čase 4:41 druhého kola Schwindt protivníka konečně dokázal ukončit. Zápas, na který nezapomeneme a úžasný výkon obou borců obohacený bonusem pro vítěze za nejlepší výkon celého večera.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1156"></oktfightcomponent><h2>AYARI VS. STAHL</h2>První zápas hlavní karty přinesl vydatnou tříkolovou bitvu. Stahl měl hned v prvním kole co dělat, když od Ayariho inkasoval tvrdé údery. A zbytek zápasu se nesl v podobném duchu. Ve druhém kole se Stahl snažil dospět k boji na zemi, ale jeho protivník odolával a souboj skončil opět v postoji. Nakročeno k výhře měl Ayari a svou dominanci potvrdil v kole posledním. Když už se blížil závěr zápasu, Ayari využil útoku svého soupeře, neváhal a zasadil neskutečně tvrdé KO, vůbec první za večer. Stahl padl, Ayari zaslouženě dotáhl bitvu do vítězného finiše.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1143"></oktfightcomponent><h2>FRANK VS. FRIMPONG</h2>Hořká noc pro Franka! Rozjetý Frimpong nezklamal a opět předvedl, že jeho ostré řeči se zrcadlí i v kleci. Frimpong dokázal soupeře skvěle zpracovat: nedal mu vydechnout, stíhal na něj i mluvit (řeč mu nedošla ani v samotném zápase) a sebral pro sebe všechna tři kola! Ve druhém kole už byl Frank dost odevzdaný a třetí bylo třešničkou na dortu. Frimpong dostál všech výhružek a soupeři zasadil tvrdou první porážku kariéry, navíc před domácím publikem.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1100"></oktfightcomponent><h2>PAULUS VS. SILVA</h2>Zápas, u kterého do poslední chvíle nebylo jasno! Vše začalo nezvyklým průběhem prvního kola: Roman Paulus upozornil na nedovolený zákrok a vzal si poměrně dlouhý čas na rozmyšlenou. Po této přestávce doběhlo kolo v poměrně nerozhodném módu a i body byly rozděleny mezi soupeře střídavě. Ve druhém kole Paulus dominoval a Silva chvílemi neodpovídal, kolo šlo zaslouženě na stranu slovenského bijce. Vše ale rozhodlo kolo poslední – zde jako by Paulus ztratil síly nebo zájem tuto hru hrát. Silva rozjel údery, byl aktivnější, Paulusovi začal zápas utíkat. Do poslední chvíle ale byly síly dost vyrovnané. Jediný, kdo měl ihned jasno byl Silva, který se viděl jako vítěz a neváhal se divoce radovat. A měl pravdu – na split decision si výhru odnesl o 11 let starší Brazilec.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1148"></oktfightcomponent><h2>BATFALSKÝ VS. BATOBO</h2>Další radost pro české fanoušky! Do zápasu naskočili oba borci v pěkném tempu a Batobo ihned projevil zájem vzít Batfalského na zem. Ten ale dokázal reagovat pohotově a skvěle si vedl i ve spodní pozici na podlaze klece. Následně přišlo i na hezké výměny v postoji – Batobo byl rychlý a nabíjel spodními údery. Po vyrovnaném prvním kole ale přišel zvrat. Batfalský dokázal najít slabinu, kterou se stala postupně rozkopaná noha. Batobo byl stále slabší a unavenější, zatímco Jakub zkušeně vyčkával, šetřil síly a uplatňoval funkční taktiku. Na třetí kolo ale nakonec nedošlo! Noha už to nevydržela a Batobo to vzdal. Zkušený výkon mladé české naděje – Batfalský už podruhé za sebou ukázal, že míří vysoko a převedl vyspělé ukončení soupeře.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1147"></oktfightcomponent><h2>LIGOCKI VS. LORENZ</h2>Máme tu hvězdu, která míří pěkně vysoko – 2 výhry během 2 týdnů, obě v prvním kole, to je Daniel Ligocki. Na kartu pohotově nastoupil jen chvíli po úspěchu v Třinci a opět dominoval. Jen co se Lorenz začal trefovat, Daniel na nic nečekal, pravým hákem soupeře na chvíli vypnul a vzápětí na nic nečekal a pohotově dokončil čistou práci na zemi na submisi. Wow!<oktfightcomponent fightid="1159"></oktfightcomponent><h2>DALASLAN VS. ŠIMKOVÁ</h2>Pořádně vyhrocená dámská bitva! Co začalo opatrným oťukáváním, skončilo krvavou řežbou. Dalaslan si Šimkovou parádně podala a rychlost i přesnost byla na její straně od prvního kola, stejně jako body od rozhodčích. Ve druhém kole ničila ještě brutálněji a každý pokus Šimkové o takedown byl po zásluze potrestán. Situace eskalovala ve třetím kole – nejdřív to odnesl účes české zástupkyně, poté zbytek těla. Dalaslan svou dominanci završila ukončením na TKO chvíli před začátkem čtvrté minuty posledního kola.<oktfightcomponent fightid="1099"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ENZ VS. BAJRAMI</h2>Hned v prvním zápase jsme se dočkali napínavé tříkolové bitvy. Kevin Enz zvolil jasnou taktiku a zápas probíhal z 99 % na zemi, kde předváděl své grapplerské dovednosti. I přesto mu Bajrami šikovně odolával a ze začátku druhého kola i zasadil několik tvrdých úderů z postoje. When I’m lying on my “deathbed” one day, this will definitely be one of the memories running through my head. It was absolute madness.Štvanice is considered one of OKTAGON’s iconic events. What was it like fighting in such a unique setting?It was an invaluable experience. A beautiful summer event, outdoors. The stadium is built in such a way that even when I was standing in the cage, it felt like the very last row was right next to me. It was a huge experience both personally, because of the atmosphere, and professionally. I accepted the fight on short notice against a very high-quality opponent and was also viewed as the underdog.The fight with Federico was very close and was decided by a guillotine in the third round. How do you evaluate your performance in hindsight? What did the fight give you?It really was close. Federico won the first round, I won the second, and the guillotine decided it in the third. Looking back, there were obviously a lot of mistakes, but you have to judge it in context. I accepted the fight at the last minute, and in six days you can’t really train anything very specific. We focused on a game plan with my coaches, but miracles can’t happen in such a short time.Considering everything, I’m happy with the performance. It gave me confidence and confirmed that when you have your mindset right, anything is possible. It was an honor to fight Federico. Beating such a high-level opponent at an iconic event and submitting a black belt—that’s a fighter’s dream.You’ll be fighting in the O2 Arena for the first time. Is it a dream come true, or are you trying to treat it like any other fight?I try to treat it like any other fight. Of course, I’m aware that Štvanice and the O2 Arena are iconic OKTAGON venues and that every fighter who signs with the organization wants to fight there. It happened for me within a year, which I truly appreciate and am very grateful for.That’s why I’m now trying to be as prepared as possible to deliver my best performance. I’ll enjoy the fact that I’m fighting in the O2 Arena after the fight—when I’m sitting at home with potato salad. Right now, it’s simply another step on my journey.There will be roughly twice as many people in attendance compared to Štvanice. Do you notice the crowd during the fight, or do you get tunnel vision?There may be twice as many people, but it’s dark, dim, and the cage is heavily lit, so you don’t really notice the crowd that much. At Štvanice it was daylight, and it felt like the fans were literally pressed against the cage. I always enjoy the walkout and take in the atmosphere until the cage door closes. After that, it’s tunnel vision—I focus only on my performance, my opponent, and my coaches in the corner.You train under Patrik Kincl and David Dvořák, who will also be fighting on the same card. Will they be in your corner, or will the roles be divided differently?Honestly, we haven’t discussed it yet. I think it will be better to divide the roles. At All Sport Academy, we have a really strong team—Václav Štěpán, Lukáš Chotěnovský, my brother, and other guys who are with me at every training session. For me, it’s important that Patrik and David can fully focus on their own fights. I’ll definitely get advice from them at the hotel and in the locker room, but in the cage itself, the guys from the team will corner me.What is it like when all three of you are in peak fight camp at the same time? Are the sessions harder, or do you take more care due to injury risk?It’s great. We help each other, push each other, motivate one another. You can feel it in training—the atmosphere is excellent, and everyone is fully focused. It’s an honor for me to be on such a stacked card alongside my coaches. I’m enjoying every single moment of this preparation.What does your ideal training day look like? Do you have any rituals you can’t start without?An ideal training day starts with good sleep. Sleep and recovery are the foundation, so that’s my priority. If I sleep well, I feel great. I don’t really have a strict ritual, but I do enjoy a good coffee during the day—ideally a filter coffee.Many people see you as one of the biggest talents of the next generation. What do you think is the most important thing to succeed in MMA today?Sure, people may see me as a talent, but I don’t really play into that. I think this sport is mainly about a fighter’s approach and mindset.I want to be seen more as a regular guy who worked hard for everything. When you have your head straight, know what you want, know what you’re chasing and why you’re doing it, then I think you’re unstoppable. Discipline and mental work are the most important things.How do you think modern MMA differs from MMA 10–15 years ago?In absolutely everything. How painful is that? And what will be your first meal after the fight?It doesn’t bother me at all. I’m happy that I have another fight. That it falls on the holidays—well, whatever. There are always events during the year: Christmas, Easter, summer holidays. I focus on the fact that I get to fight and that it’s at a beautiful event. And that I’ll eat good food a few days after Christmas? I really don’t care. My first meal will definitely be potato salad with schnitzel. And maybe some Christmas cookies if my mom sends some.What do you do in your free time when you switch off from MMA for a bit? Do you have something that helps you recharge?I like spending time with my family and closest friends. I enjoy being active—going for walks, skating, hiking in the mountains, or going to the sauna. I try to spend time with myself, ideally somewhere in nature, and also give time back to the people closest to me. The former OKTAGON middleweight champion reigned over the division for 956 days and defended the title three times, against names like Karlos Vémola, Alex Lohoré, and Piotr Wawrzyniak. Today he sits at #77 in the global FightMatrix rankings —though at the start of 2024, he was ranked as high as #35. But then came two consecutive losses —something that hadn’t happened to Kincl in 15 years. First, he lost in front of a record-setting 59,194 fans at the Frankfurt football stadium, where he was outclassed by Kerim Engizek.
