Torres po dobu tří kol odevzdaně přijímal skvěle zasazené údery, kterých měl Paradeiser ve výsledku téměř o 100 více. BOGDANOVIĆ</h2><p>Kurz na Keitu mluvil jasně a až nesmylně podceňoval špičkového soupeře. Bogdanović měl samozřejmě vynikající zem, ale nestačilo to. Keita byl sebevědomý, lehký a mrštný a srbský protivník si čím dál více nevěděl rady. Keita to za něj vyřešil ke konci druhého kola, když napínavou přestřelku rychle ukončil a přiblížil se k pohádkové výhře. Příště o ni bude bojovat s Legierskim, což slibuje další výbornou podívanou.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="906"></oktfightcomponent><h2>TIPSPORT GAMECHANGER: BUCHINGER VS. RAJEWSKI</h2><p>Legendy nepodceňuj, to je pravidlo OKTAGONU 59. I „Buki” ukázal, že jeho zkušenosti jsou nepopiratelné, a to když vytrvale ničil nelehkého soupeře. Lítaly otočky, ostré lokty, high kicky a Polák měl co dělat. Netrvalo to dlouho, ve druhém kole utáhl domácí miláček Rajewskiho na D'Arce Choke. A rozhodně ukázal, že rezervní zápas v milionové pyramidě Tipsport Gamechangeru nevzal jako náhradník náhodou.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="907"></oktfightcomponent><h2>SZABOVÁ VS. ÁLVAREZ</h2><p>Lucka Szabová potvrdila svou neotřesitelnost. V souboji s nelehkou soupeřkou Álvarez od začátku jasně dominovala – už v prvním kole začala skvěle, ve druhém bilanci signifikantních úderů povýšila dokonce na 82:1. Španělka si takzvaně ani neškrtla. Vše to směřovalo k jasnému konci a ten, k radosti domácích, byl třetím kolem potvrzen. Výhra na body je doma – a to Lucia, dle pozápasového rozhovoru, tenhle boj chtěla v pátek skoro vzdát, když jí daly zabrat ženské problémy. Dnes je všechno jinak a fantastická Szabová přijala nadcházející titulovou výzvu.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="991"></oktfightcomponent><h2>TIPSPORT VÝKON VEČERA: ÚŠKRT VS. KNÍŽE</h2><p>Monster ukázal, že věk je jenom číslo a není ho radno podceňovat. Do zápasu vletěl odvážně a energicky, na začátku ho to stálo i jeden nebezpečný úder kolenem od protivníka. Na konci prvního kola dokázal Úškrta dostat na lopatky a diváci se ujistili, že desítky let zkušeností se prostě nezapřou. Ač druhé kolo dobře otevřel domácí reprezentant, dlouho to nevydrželo. Monsterovi se podařilo dostat soupeře znovu na zem, kde zkušeně a vytrvale pracoval. Trpělivost, jistota, skvělá forma – vše to směřovalo k arm trianglu, kterým si připsal další výhru kariéry. A jestli poslední? To si po zápase, za který si odnáší zasloužený bonus, nechal nakonec otevřené.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="968"></oktfightcomponent><h2>WAWRZYNIAK VS. MICHAILIDIS</h2><p>To, že půjde o prvotřídní bitvu skutečných elit, bylo všem jasné už před zápasem. A skutečně, tenhle duel opravdu nezklamal. Vyrovnaný byl také tak, jako odhady – atmosféra v hale byla neuvěřitelná, MMA světové. V prvním kole byl o kousek lepší Michailidis, který si ho také připsal na svou stranu. Ve druhém došlo k remíze, jeden rozhodčí ale stále viděl jako silnějšího řeckého obra. Ten ale inkasoval od Poláka tvrdý úder na spánek, který ho poněkud unavil. V posledním kole pokračovala přehlídka toho nejlepšího z bojových sportů. Postojářské derby se nekonalo, pánové předvedli, že jsou už plně adaptovaní na MMA a o spoléhání se na postoj nemohla být řeč. Novák předváděl práci na zemi a několikrát měl Roušal na mále při škrcení. Despite a dramatic first round, which we’ve come to expect from Buchinger, there were some nerve-wracking moments when a quick end seemed inevitable. But he survived, didn’t give up, and it paid off. In the second round, he came at Nafuka with wild intensity, growing hungrier with each strike. Nafuka, caught off guard by this resurgence, quickly became overwhelmed. And after the third minute of the final round, it was clear – there had been enough hits. A Slovak miracle, the best performance of the night. Buki left his gloves in the ring briefly as if signaling a farewell, only to pick them up again during the post-fight interview – he’s not done yet!</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1071"></oktfightcomponent><h2>KERTÉSZ VS. APOLLO</h2><p>Years of experience have refined both OKTAGON veterans, from whom we expect top performances. Apollo was clearly better in the first round, controlling the fight with seasoned skill. The second round was more balanced, both in terms of action and scoring. But the final round erased all doubts. Apollo turned the match entirely in his favor, delivering powerful strikes right until the last seconds to make a statement. No one has managed to end Apollo’s reign even in his 42nd career fight.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1067"></oktfightcomponent><h2>PUKAČ VS. DIEDRICK</h2><p>Robo Pukač came out swinging from the first round like a beast. He delivered powerful strikes to Diedrick and gradually won over not only the crowd but also the judges. With superb form and confidence, he slowly dismantled the renowned striker from England. The third round was all or nothing, and Pukač succeeded, outboxing Diedrick and claiming a major home victory.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1034"></oktfightcomponent><h2>RYŠAVÝ VS. PALOKAJ</h2><p>The first round showcased Ryšavý at his best, as fans love to see him – sharp and on top form. Judges saw it similarly, with two out of three favoring him. But then Palokaj took control, dictating the pace both standing and on the ground. By the third round, Palokaj’s superiority was clear – his takedowns proved decisive for Ryšavý. Nevertheless, Slovakia had nothing to be ashamed of.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1045"></oktfightcomponent><h2>FODOR VS. LAPILUS</h2><p>Wow! Before anyone could catch their breath, Lapilus unleashed pure chaos in the cage. He slammed Fodor into the fence and unleashed a barrage of brutal strikes that had even TV viewers shaken. Referee Touš had to stop the fight, taking a bruised hand with him yet again.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1036"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ABY VS. ZHUMAGULOV</h2><p>Two seasoned fighters did not disappoint. Aby sustained a cut on his head in the first round that bled heavily but didn’t slow him down. By the second round, Zhumagulov was in control, with the wound monitored by a doctor, who let the fight continue to its conclusion. In the end, Zhumagulov took the final round, mainly thanks to punches that seemed to belong in a different weight class. Aby fought valiantly, showing little fatigue, leaving fans wondering what might have happened if it went further. A high-quality match and a successful debut for OKTAGON’s new star.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1040"></oktfightcomponent><h2>ROUŠAL VS. MAGUIRE</h2><p>While Maguire entered to a song sung by his sister, Roušal chose his usual prison attire. What followed, however, was unlike anything we’d seen from Roušal before. He won the first round, although his opponent wasn’t far behind. In the second round, Roušal landed a hard punch, knocking the Irishman down. Roušal came close to ending the fight, delivering a flurry of blows until – an amateur mistake. Roušal naively fell into a choke and within seconds, Maguire celebrated a huge win via Triangle Choke. The judges favored Finland in the first round, while the second was closer, with two out of three judges scoring it as a draw. Roman Paulus knew he had to go all out – expertly capturing his opponent and securing an impressive Rear Naked Choke in the final round, his third this year in a tremendously successful season. Smolková erased memories of last year’s Tipos Arena fight, charging at her opponent with relentless strikes. Within a minute, she had Simplicio on the ground, unresponsive to the final barrage of blows, with the fight stopped at 1:06 by TKO. Our organization has sold over <strong>530,000</strong> tickets, so we’re on the road to a million. To put it into perspective, printing that many tickets would take about 10 days. Luckily, we’re eco-friendly! And just to be clear, following counts exclude UNDERGROUND events, otherwise, we’d probably lose track.</p><h2>OKTAGON MARATHON? PLAN YOUR VACATION</h2><p>If you’re planning to binge-watch from OKTAGON 1, we recommend informing your workplace. The total viewing time is <strong>4 days, 18 hours, 36 minutes, and 29 seconds</strong>. We hope your boss is a fan too!</p><h2>KO, SUBMISSION, OR DECISION? THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE</h2><p>Things get wild in the OKTAGON cage, and sometimes the judges might get bored! Finishes before the limit are much more common than decisions. There have been <strong>284 KOs</strong> and TKOs, and <strong>152 submissions</strong>, across <strong>16</strong> different submission techniques. In the first round, fights ended 262 times, more often by KO. A total of <strong>280</strong> fights have gone the distance and ended by decision.</p><h2>DRAWS? NOT REALLY!</h2><p>Draws are rare here – it’s usually all or nothing. Across 62 events, there have only been <strong>7</strong> draws, with two "no contests" (can you remember who caused them?). And only <strong>1</strong> disqualification, so thank you to the fighters for behaving honorably in the cage!</p><h2>A FULL PLANE OF FIGHTERS</h2><p>A total of <strong>540</strong> fighters have competed in the yellow-and-black cage. That’s about the same capacity as a full Boeing 747, 10 buses, or one large school! We’re considering whether to send them all on vacation or start the OKTAGON University.</p><p>Needless to say, we offer you the best. Currently, OKTAGON boasts <strong>26 fighters</strong> in the world’s top 100, and <strong>40</strong> in the top 150. Come see their quality in action!</p><h2>A CAGE ON WHEELS: WHERE DID WE LIKE IT THE MOST?</h2><p>OKTAGON has traveled far and wide. We’ve visited <strong>4 countries, 17 cities, and 30 arenas</strong> and stadiums! Our most frequent stop is Prague, where we’ve hosted <strong>20 events</strong>. And we’ll be back in December at the O2 Arena, where tickets are selling out fast, so don’t miss out!</p><h2>NOT ALL EVENTS ARE THE SAME!</h2><p>And what about the events themselves? You probably already know a lot about the latest OKTAGON 62, so let’s look back at history.</p><p>For example, the event with the most fights on the card was a record <strong>13</strong>, which happened at OKTAGON 3, 30, and 33. Just to clarify, our matchmakers are not into numerology or the number 3...</p><h2>WHERE DID THE FIGHTS END QUICKLY, AND WHERE DID THE JUDGES SWEAT?</h2><p><strong>OKTAGON 18</strong> passed like a tornado, with its fights lasting just a clean <strong>46 minutes</strong> – none of the 10 bouts went to the judges, and most ended in the first round. To those who arrived later that evening, we sincerely apologize...</p><p>On the other hand, <strong>OKTAGON 61</strong> in September in Brno was a true marathon – if you thought it was the longest event ever, you guessed right. It broke the record not only in length but also in the number of fights that had to go to the judges. Fighters took their time, battling it out for <strong>2 hours and 26 minutes</strong> in the cage. Not to mention the battle with sleepiness at 1 AM during the press conference!</p><h2>FINISHES GALORE</h2><p>Blink, and you would’ve missed <strong>OKTAGON 12</strong> – where a record number of KOs and TKOs were set in one night, totaling <strong>9</strong>. At <strong>OKTAGON Prime 3</strong>, submissions were in the spotlight, with fighters delivering <strong>6</strong> submissions that evening.</p><h2>WITHOUT YOU, IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN</h2><p>What a ride, right?
