Favorizovaný Polák neměl dobrý vstup do zápasu a Khajevand ho dokázal ohrozit. Ve druhém kole už byl ale Jotko pozorný a v závěru zápasu svého soupeře v klidu kontroloval. Ve druhém kole ale Buchinger začal přebírat otěže a ve třetím kole Smullenovi nezbyly žádné síly, aby mohl tak zkušenému borci vzdorovat. Oba borci ale ukázali sportovního ducha – nejprve Cordero roztleskával domácí publikum, aby podpořilo zraněného Krištofiče a následně Krištofič na nosítkách zpíval svou nástupovku a loučil se s fanoušky, kteří tleskali ve stoje na počest domácí hrdiny. Nebál se tvrdých přestřelek se zkušeným postojářem a vysoké tempo udržel i ve druhém kole. Novák šel do třetího kola s tím, že musí ukončit soupeře. A to se mu také podařilo! Domácí zápasnice ukázala také výbornou fyzickou připravenost, když ve druhém kole stupňovala tempo a nadále zasypávala Araujo přesnými kombinacemi, na které Brazilka nedokázala reagovat. Ve stejném duchu pokračovalo i třetí kolo a „Sweetheart” se tak radovala z dominantního vítězství na body. V prvním kole byl o něco úspěšnější domácí borec, kterému skvěle fungoval úder přední rukou. Ve druhém kole začal Belgičan souboj svazovat na pletivu a snažil se unavit svého soupeře. But my time with Bellator in the U.S. is also unforgettable, especially winning the featherweight tournament.</p><p><strong>Which fight was the toughest for you personally – whether inside or outside the cage?</strong></p><p>One of my biggest challenges was definitely facing Patricio “Pitbull” Freire – one of the greatest featherweights of all time.</p><p><strong>Did you experience a real “Face your fear” moment in your career where you had to confront a big fear?</strong></p><p>Every single fight is a “Face your fear” moment for me.
