Oproti Jungwirthovi je Eckerlin na pozici superstar dávno zvyklý.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Již před příchodem do OKTAGONu byl šampionem několika německých organizací, hvězdou a milionářem, který žije v luxusu, prohání se v drahých autech a už dávno nemusí zápasit a něco si v kleci dokazovat.</span></p><h2>Z hlídače majitelem nočního klubu</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt"><em>„Hodně lidí se mě ptá, proč ještě zápasím. Dělám to, neboť je to má vášeň a mám to v sobě,“</em> říká Eckerlin zápasící již 15 let.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Ne vždy se ale proháněl v Lambu! Dříve se živil jako hlídač v nočních klubech, byl členem Hells Angels a pořádný bouřlivák.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16pt"><em>„Pracoval jsem v klubu na dveřích, teď klub vlastním. Hodně mi s tím pomohl tchán. Ale nedostal jsem to darem, vydřel jsem si to sám!“</em> dodává Eckerlin, který je dnes klidným milujícím otcem a manželem, jehož největším pokladem je rodina.</span></p><h2>Probuzené srdce válečníka až ve 30 letech</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Příběh Jungwirtha, který žije ve Stuttgartu, je syrovější. V roce 2017, kdy Eckerlin ničil soupeře v kleci už 8 let a rozjížděl milionový byznys, Jungwirth pracoval v továrně a s MMA a zápasením teprve začínal. Bylo mu 30 let. Je mu 33 let a na kontě má 10 profesionálních MMA zápasů (8-2). Na OKTAGONu 20 poráží <strong>Holotu</strong>. Kdo to je?</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">V prosinci 2021, pár měsíců před Jungwirthovou vítěznou šňůrou, přichází do OKTAGONu muž, který chce rozbouřit vody welterové divize. Českým a slovenským fanouškům není až tak známý. Zato v Německu ho znají všichni! Tím mužem je Christian Eckerlin z Frankfurtu, celebrita, influencer, milionář, ale hlavně několikanásobný šampion a největší německá MMA hvězda, která většinu soupeřů drtí před limitem. Eckerlin je v té době neporažený 4 roky a stylem života připomíná <strong>Karlose Vémolu</strong>. Na uvítanou do klece dostává zkušeného řeckého šampiona <strong>Palaiologose</strong>, kterého ukončuje už v 1. kole.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p><h2>OKTAGON poprvé překračuje hranice Česka a Slovenska</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">4. 6. 2022 začíná nová éra OKTAGONu, kdy se organizace poprvé představuje v Německu turnajem OKTAGON 33 ve Frankfurtu. Turnaj v ikonické Festhalle je vyprodaný a velký podíl na tom nese právě Eckerlin. Při jeho nástupu fanoušci málem „zboří“ arénu a všichni pochopí, jak velké jméno nosí a proč se mu přezdívá „Frankfurtský král“.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Eckerlinův zápas na OKTAGONu 33 s Brazilcem <strong>Oliveirou</strong> je sice nakonec anulován kvůli spornému kopu do slabin. Čím více turnajů OKTAGON v Německu pořádá, tím je z Jungwirtha větší a větší celebrita a popularitou dohání Eckerlina. Ten navíc začne mít zdravotní problémy, a rok nezápasí.</span></p><h2>Nesmrtelnost v přímém přenosu</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">17. 6. 2023 přichází čtvrtfinále Tipsport Gamechanger v Oberhausenu. Jungwirth přežívá perfektně chycené škrcení od Veličkoviće a po 45 vteřinách bez kyslíku ho setřese ze zad. Nikdo nechápe, jak je tohle možné. Následuje šílená přestřelka. Jungwirth nakonec prohrává na body, avšak hala šílí a oslavuje ho jako vítěze.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Jungwirth pak vyhrává hlasování o Lucky losera, a je zpět ve hře v rezervním zápase semifinále Tipsport Gamechanger proti Palaiologosovi – toho v roce 2021 při svém debutu v OKTAGONu ukončil Eckerlin.</span></p><h2>Nikdy se nevzdám!</h2><p><span style="font-size: 16pt">Fanoušci jsou do Jungwirtha blázni! Stává se obrovskou hvězdou i v Německu, a někteří o něm dokonce hovoří jako o německé #1. Mezi ním a Eckerlinem stoupá rivalita a ve vzduchu visí jejich bitva. Jungwirth však nejdřív musí porazit Řeka. Místo toho, aby si „ťuknul“ s někým na rozjezd, vyzve jednoho z nejnebezpečnějších a nejzkušenějších bojovníků OKTAGONu, UFC veterána <strong>Apolla Silvu</strong>, který je navíc rozjetý po výhře nad <strong>Grabinskim</strong>. In the first round, Ilbay miraculously survived a clean knee strike from Vlado, which seemed to fuel him and score him some crucial points. My parents are very athletic—my mother is a former ski athlete and even competed in the 1964 Winter Olympics. Sports have always been a life school for me and have helped me in every situation. I am highly competitive and love the challenge of testing myself against others. </p><p><strong>What initially drew you to MMA?</strong> </p><p>MMA fascinated me because it’s such a versatile sport that demands both physical and mental strength. Plus, it’s amusing how many people think they can defend themselves or act dangerously “when they see red,” especially when you’re practicing martial arts.</p><p><strong>How did you feel when you first stepped into the gym and began learning MMA?</strong></p><p>I enjoyed it from the very beginning. However, my inability to learn certain things still frustrates me to this day. I love pushing myself both physically and mentally.</p><p><strong>What does your life outside of MMA look like? What do you do professionally or personally beyond the sport?</strong></p><p>My first profession was as an electrician, and later I found my way to social work and recently completed a degree in that field. I work with teenagers and young adults. I’m a mother of three young adults, a single parent, and a proud homemaker. I love cooking, baking, and knitting.</p><p><strong>How did those around you react when you decided to pursue MMA? Was it easy to gain their encouragement and support?</strong></p><p>I honestly don’t know because their reactions don’t matter to me. I do what I want—that’s the benefit of being an adult. My children support me unconditionally, just as I support them. The same goes for my parents. After such a stellar start, there was only one offer he could accept…</p><p><strong>FUN FACT:</strong> Before Jotko got into combat sports, he was a successful breakdancer. That’s why he often celebrates his victories by spinning on his head. However, he hasn’t tried these moves on his opponents yet.</p><h2>THE AMERICAN DREAM</h2><p>This marked the beginning of a long chapter in the UFC. Over 11 years, Jotko participated in 17 bouts. Among those was a planned match with Makhmud Muradov, which was canceled during the pandemic. Jotko not only settled in America but also started training there, preparing to this day with the elite American Top Team. This extraordinary chapter of his life solidified his place among Poland’s prominent sports figures.</p><h2>ENDURANCE ABOVE ALL</h2><p>His career didn’t end with the UFC. Today, Jotko boasts 25 wins, 17 of which went to the judges’ decision—proving that wearing him out is no easy feat. In November, after a long break, he returned to the cage with a second-round finish, and he surely has similar plans for his next opponent.</p><h2>THAILAND AND JAPAN</h2><p>Asia is his second home. He lived in Thailand for several years, falling in love with the local food, people, and training conditions—not to mention motorcycle rides.</p><p>He also has a strong connection to Japanese culture. Let’s see which matches you can expect where and when so you don’t miss a thing!</p><h2>DÜSSELDORF WITH THE HOME CHAMPION</h2><p>The new season kicks off in Düsseldorf, Germany, which is already nearly sold out – and for good reason!</p><p>The highlight of the evening will feature the reigning champion, <strong>Engizek</strong>, undefeated for nine years, fighting in his hometown. In the first round, he’ll face the rising MMA star <strong>Salamone</strong> from France, known for his versatility and ability to finish most opponents before the time limit.</p><oktfightcomponent fightid="1086"></oktfightcomponent><p>Additionally, <strong>Matěj Peňáz</strong>, a big name in the middleweight division, will return to action.
